Simple Living and High Thinking…!

Safalta ke liye jeevan saadharan aur soch asaadhaaran honi chahiye

(For success, your life should be simple and your thinking extraordinary)

By Dr. Sunil S. Rana

In the relentless pursuit of success, most of us complicate life with unnecessary chaos - chasing recognition, wealth, and validation - while the truth stands silently: Simplicity breeds strength, and purity of thought shapes greatness.

To live a simple life doesn’t mean living without ambition or progress. It means freeing yourself from clutter - mental, emotional, and material - that weighs you down. It’s about focusing on what truly matters and giving your 100% to your karma (duties) with honesty and mindfulness, without constantly worrying about the outcomes.

The Essence of Simplicity:

A saadharan jeevan (simple life) is not a life of poverty or limitation; it is a life of clarity. When your mind is not clouded by greed or comparison, your energy flows toward creativity, focus, and perseverance. The greatest thinkers, scientists, leaders, and saints of the world have all lived with simplicity - not because they lacked, but because they understood that luxury can never substitute peace.

Swami Vivekananda once said,

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea.”

This thought resonates deeply with the spirit of asaadhaaran soch (extraordinary thinking). It’s not about doing more, but doing the right thing with devotion and intelligence.

Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita:

When Arjuna stood confused and broken on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, Lord Krishna didn’t tell him to escape his duties. He enlightened him with one of the most profound truths ever spoken:

“Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana.”

(You have the right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions.)

This verse teaches the very foundation of success - work sincerely, not selfishly. Your focus should be on the process, not the product.

Krishna urged Arjuna to rise above attachment, to act not for reward or fear, but for dharma - the rightness of action. That’s what makes a person extraordinary - the ability to remain steady in action, unmoved by result.

The Mental State of a True Achiever:

Success is not just an event - it is a mental discipline. A calm, clear, and determined mind is the greatest instrument for progress.

While living this simple life, your mind should remain elevated - like the still sky above a flowing river.

You cannot expect high returns on passive steps.

You cannot sow laziness and reap achievement.

Effort must be conscious, consistent, and aligned with purpose.

But working hard doesn’t mean exhausting yourself physically or mechanically. It means being mentally present, emotionally balanced, and spiritually steady in every act you do - be it writing a report, caring for your family, or pursuing your dream.

The Gita calls this state “Yogastha Kuru Karmani” -

“Established in yoga (inner balance), perform your action.”

This is not just spiritual wisdom; it is a life formula.

Extraordinary Thinking in an Ordinary Life:

When your life is simple, your mind gets the room to think big.

Extraordinary thinking doesn’t arise from material luxury but from mental liberty. It is when your thoughts are fearless, innovative, and anchored in righteousness.

Think of Lord Krishna - he lived among cowherds, yet his vision shaped civilizations.

Think of Arjuna - he fought not for glory, but for duty.

Think of Mahatma Gandhi - his attire was simple, but his thought transformed empires.

They all lived simply, but thought asaadhaaran (extraordinary).

The True Definition of Success:

Success is not measured by the applause of the world, but by the peace of your own heart.

When you sleep at night with a calm conscience and wake up with renewed purpose, you are already successful.

A man or woman who performs their daily duties - be it studying, teaching, healing, serving, or protecting - with honesty and devotion, is far ahead of one who merely chases fame.

Let your life be simple, but let your thinking be vast, courageous, and selfless.

That’s the balance where true greatness resides.

In summary:

Live simply, think deeply.

Work honestly, without fear or greed.

Perform your duty as an offering, not a transaction.

Let your actions speak, and let the results unfold naturally.

Because in the end -

“Safalta unhi ko milti hai jinka jeevan saadharan aur soch asaadhaaran hoti hai.”

Success belongs to those whose life is simple but whose thinking is extraordinary.

Where Lies True Happiness…!?!

THE REAL HAPPINESS OF LIFE (A Journey into Real Happiness and Peace) :By Dr Sunil S Rana  If Even Lata Mangeshkar Didn’t Want to Be Reborn as Herself… Then Where Lies True Happiness? Once, in an interview, when the legendary Lata Mangeshkar, the Saraswati of Indian singing, was asked, “Would you like to be born as Lata Mangeshkar again in your next birth?” She replied with quiet honesty: “…Agar waakayee janm mila mujhe to main Lata Mangeshkar banna nahi chahungi. Lata Mangeshkar ki jo takleefen hain, wo usko hi pata hai…” Imagine this for a moment. The “Nightingale of India,” a name synonymous with devotion, discipline, melody, and unmatched glory, admitted that she wouldn’t want to return as herself. And she is not alone. If tomorrow Modi ji were to say, “I don’t want to be reborn as Modi,” or if Tata, Ambani, Shahrukh, Salman expressed the same, wouldn’t it shake our illusions? We, as ordinary people, look at these icons, dream of their lives, and chase the shadows of m...

She Will Face The World Empty Hand, If it’s For Her Child…!

A Mother Can Never Be Wrong By Dr. Sunil S Rana In the grand symphony of life, if there exists one note that resonates with eternal purity, it is that of a mother’s love. No matter how we define roles, relationships, or responsibilities, the place of a mother stands at the pinnacle; above every judgment, beyond every debate. A mother’s role is supreme, and nothing can overshadow it. She is the divine vessel of creation; conceiving life within her for nine long months, silently enduring pain, discomfort, and unimaginable physical changes. Yet, she smiles; not for herself, but for the unborn soul she nurtures in her womb. That silent endurance, that selfless sacrifice, is something no man can ever truly comprehend. The Misconceived Notion of “Co-ownership” Many men proudly claim to be the “co-owners” of their children; a phrase that sounds logical on paper but collapses in spirit. The creation of life may require two bodies, but the continuation of life demands one soul; the mother’s. Fr...

Show Some Respect to Humanity…!

Thumbs Up Is Not Enough: A Humble Request to Friends and Well-Wishers By Dr. Sunil S Rana In today’s hyperconnected world, where a WhatsApp forward travels faster than the blink of an eye, I often wonder: Why have people become so insensitive even to their own friends and relatives? We are quick to forward jokes, memes, and “Good Morning” images, expecting a flood of thumbs up and smiley emojis in return. But alas! When it comes to genuine requests, heartfelt messages, or meaningful content, the same people who flood groups with forwards suddenly turn silent. The Irony of WhatsApp Appreciation: Let me take a simple example. I share my blog daily with over 7,800 contacts; connections I have built painstakingly over years of professional and personal interactions. These blogs are not mindless forwards; they are thoughts from the heart, researched reflections, and genuine attempts to make a difference. Thousands have appreciated my writing. Yet, when it comes to engaging with ...
