THUREE SHAKAND WROOL...!

"Three-Second Rule": Myth or Madness? A Slice of Truth on Dropped Food. By Dr Sunil S Rana  We’ve all seen it; or maybe done it ourselves: food slips out of the hand, hits the floor, and before anyone can blink, it’s scooped back up and devoured, all under the protective shield of the so-called “Three-Second Rule.” I have an acquaintance who religiously abides by this rule. He drops food more often than not; and picks it up with lightning speed and gulps it down before reason can intervene. Just last week at Domino’s, we were sharing a pizza. While walking out, he dropped an entire pizza triangle. Without missing a beat, he bent, grabbed it, and; before I could utter a word; it had vanished into his mouth. With a half-chewed grin, he mumbled in a comically exaggerated tone,  "Thuree Shakand Wrool!" But is there any scientific merit to this supposed rule? Or is it just a convenient excuse to rescue fallen fries and pizza? The Three-Second Rule: Fiction More Than Fac...

Be In A State Of Anasuya...

Become Anasuya: Rise Above Fault-Finding By Dr. Sunil S Rana I am writing this blog after reading the soul-stirring quotient ‘Anasuya’ by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji. His words transported me into a deep space of introspection. It was like looking into a mirror I never cleaned for years; not because I couldn't, but because I didn’t realise the fault wasn’t with the mirror, but in my eyes. What is Anasuya? Anasuya is a Sanskrit word meaning "one who is free from fault-finding, jealousy, and blame." Gurudev says, “When your consciousness reaches a certain level, a beautiful quality arises; Anasuya.” It is a state where perception becomes so pure that it stops picking on the imperfections of the world. The eye turns inward. And as Bhagavad Gita says, “Because you are Anasuya, Arjuna, I shall now impart this supreme wisdom to you.” Most of us live with the illusion that others are at fault. Rarely do we suspect that the dust lies on the lens of our own vision. The Mirror ...

CLEAR THE AIR...

Grudges: A Coward’s Refuge, Not a Warrior’s Path. A Call for Courageous Communication from Dr Sunil S Rana.  “ Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes.” This timeless truth echoes louder than ever in today’s emotionally subdued world. We have become a generation that tiptoes around real feelings, preferring to bottle up emotions and suffer in silence; even with our closest friends or family. Why? Because it’s easier to keep mum and harbor a grudge than to face a difficult conversation. But let it be said; keeping a grudge is not a mark of dignity or restraint; it is a coward's escape route. Say It. Don’t Sit On It. The deeper we bury our anger, the more explosive it becomes. We often assume the other person knows what they’ve done wrong. But people are not mind readers. “Dil ki baat dil mein reh jaaye, toh rishte toot jaate hain.” (Unspoken words often break the strongest bonds.) Instead of honest words, we see passive-aggressive silences. Instead of heartfelt dialogues, we hide...

Compulsory Military Training For Every Youth: A Clarion Call !

"Marching Towards Discipline: Why India’s Youth Need Compulsory Military Training After Class 12th" An Article by Dr Sunil S Rana  Introduction: A Nation of Potential, a Generation in Confusion: India; a land once nourished by the sweat and blood of patriots; is today brimming with the dreams and energy of over 600 million youth. Yet, it is this very demographic dividend that now seems to be at the brink of dilution. Our young minds, with smartphones in hand and eyes glued to social media, are drifting farther away from discipline, purpose, and a sense of national responsibility. They inherited freedom on a silver platter, unaware of the price their ancestors paid. As the Sanskrit proverb goes, “Vinaashkaale vipreet buddhi”; when destruction approaches, the mind acts perversely. To avert such a fate, India must act decisively. And the solution may lie not in classrooms or lecture halls, but in the parade grounds and trenches of military training. The Price of Freedom: Remembe...
